Yes I was a Fairtax supporter too. Loved it.
Now, I offer 50,000 dollars -- really -- to you, to anyone, you can give it to charity or spend the 50K, that's up to you. But I seriously offer 50,000 dollars cash, to ANYONE who can show a page, a paragraph, anything at all, that proves Fairtax is a simple personal retail sales tax to replace all other fed taxes.
You don't have to show it works -- that's no biggie. Just show ANYTHING in HR25, anything in their documents, anything anywhere, that proves Fairtax is a personal retail sales tax as described.
Why not show the proof it's a 23% personal retail sales tax, like they claim? YOu get 50,000 dollars.
How hard is that? Remember, you don't have to show it would work! Just show factually that is what they tax -- personal retail sales.
Fairtax sounds great, but sadly it's a linquistic trick. Yes yes yes I know the great sounding hustle, I could give a two hour speech about how great it is. Spare me the hustle. I know the hustle -- but I know what's in the legislation.
IN the legislation is NOTHING NOTHING about a personal retail sales tax to replace all other fed taxes. In the legislation are huge OTHER taxes. HUGE. OTHER. TAXES.
In fact,most of Fairtax revenue has nothing to do with retail sales.

When you find out what Fairtax really taxes -- and its much much MUCH more than personal retail sales -- don't get mad at me.
Get mad at those who lied to you, for 15 years now they have sold this as a personal retail sales tax. That's what you think it is. A personal retail tax.
But that's only a part of it - about 1/4. They didn't tell you about the other 3/4.
Remember, they claim t his is transparent. Right? Simple and transparent. Uh huh.
WHen you find out what they tax, and how huge these other taxes are -- remember that. Remember they told you it was a simple retail tax. They told you you couild chose to pay it or not. Remember that.
REmember they said it was researched. Remember that, because we found out, t here is no research about a 23% retail sales tax to replace all other fed taxes. NONE. that is not a page of such research.
But they told you they had 22 million dollars worth of research. They told you all kinds of things.
Now -- find out if they lied their &^%$ off. And if they did -- get mad at them , not me.
Thanks for the response. Not mad at you; why would I be? You obviously have another viewpoint that merits consideration. Since you have come to a different conclusion, why not publicly source your info & logic? That would be a service.
