What Could Possibly Go Wrong?

Sometimes, a certain theme comes together in a short time. Such was the case for me today. While travelling, I listened to a cardiovascular surgeon who was adamant about his opposition to the AHA (aka, Obamacare). Later in the day, on another program, I heard that in a poll of doctors, 55% of those polled say that they will vote against President Obama because of the AHA (don't know any details about the poll).
Then tonight, this tidbit came my way: Doctor seeking Illinois Senate seat offers brutal diagnosis of Obamacare. The video of Dr. Bellar's complete speech is a little under 12 minutes, but the first 3 minutes capture the priceless remarks.

President Wants to Send American Money to Egypt

I kid you not. We are truly livng in an alternate reality. Just a couple or three weeks ago, American embassies were being assailed by radical Islamists (which is pretty much redundant terminology these days). Americans were killed... one of them being an ambassador who ws tortured before his execution!

We need to cheer Rep. Kay Granger of Texas for opposing this moronic scheme!

Saddest of all is that this unpatriotic president has any standing in any poll whatsoever. There are still American voters - a lot apparently - who will be wasting their vote on him! Amazing!

Obamanomics Amaze and Dazzle

As has been noticed throughout this campaign, the sitting president is reluctant to "run on his record." Well, except when he tells us that he needs four more years for it to really kick in. There'd be a kick, alright.

So, let's help inform folks about the Obama record. Here are a couple...

Household incomes are down 8.2% during the Obama administration.

Health premiums are up by $3,000 during the Obama administration. Wait! That's not Obama's fault, is it? They would probably be up no matter who was in office. Well, that me be so, but Mr. Obama indicated differently a few short years back: "In a debate with Sen. John McCain, for example, Obama said 'the only thing we're going to try to do is lower costs so that those cost savings are passed onto you. And we estimate we can cut the average family's premium by about $2,500 per year.' At a campaign stop in Columbus, Ohio, in February 2008, Obama promised that 'We are going to work with you to lower your premiums by $2,500. We will not wait 20 years from now to do it, or 10 years from now to do it. We will do it by the end of my first term as president.'"

These and other key Obama promises are the hallmarks of Obamanomics. They are not TEA Party promises; they are not Mitt Romney's promises. They are Obama promises that have always been and will always be mutually exclusive from Obama's policies.

Liberals (aka, regressives) love failure, and they have become experts at it in recent years. If your concept of the American dream is failure, then you have an easy decision to make on election day.

If, on the other hand, your vision of the American dream is to enhance the opportunities through which innovative, hard-working Americans can succeed, then your election day decision is not too difficult either.

Groveling

In about three months, militant atheists are going to ramp up their assaults on Christianity. They will purchase space on billboards and other advertising venues mocking Jesus and those who claim to believe in him. I have every reason to believe that my money would be quite safe if I bet that no government official will make any apology to any Christian offended by the hateful messages of these radical atheists. There will surely be no statement of concern such as, "Respect for religious beliefs is a cornerstone of American democracy." Crucifixes placed upside-down in bottles of urine are, after all, part of American's valued "freedom of speech," and censorship of such "art" is forbidden.

Enter now this administration's response to the assault on our American embassies in Egypt and Libya: "Just who does Barack Obama and his foreign policy team represent? Does he represent Americans and the ideal of freedom of speech? I have to ask, because the attacks against the American Embassies in Egypt and Libya warrant much more from the president of the United States. And, whatever the response, the attacks certainly do not warrant an apology to the attackers!" (Bobby Eberle, "Obama Team Apologizes... to the attackers!" GOPUSA, September 12, 2012) Just think... a week ago Democrats were criticizing Republicans for not paying tribute to veterans at their national convention. Democrats, on the other hand, honored some who claim support for President Obama (complete with a background photo of Soviet ships). Now, they're on a full court pace to placate radicals, make the world more dangerous, and place more American lives - military and civilian - in increasingly greater peril.

Instead of confronting the threat to American interests abroad, and the protection of American lives, this administration and their Big Media minions think it more important to criticize Mitt Romney for his more presidential response to the crisis. That and heading on to Las Vegas for an Obama campaign stop. With so much stress, can we expect some golf thrown in there someplace?

How sad that this world superpower has been reduced to groveling.

Keep the TEA pot simmerin'!

Science of Scripture

Science offers the possibility that the universe originated from a big bang. The Bible says that God created all things in six days. That could have been a big bang. Science scours the heavens for extraterrestrial life, and some scientists indicate that the earth has been visited by extraterrestrials. The Bible says that angels have visited and delivered God’s messages to selected individuals. Science tells us that lack of adequate rest is bad for our health, which we know to be true from experience. The Bible directs us to take a complete rest on the seventh day. Science amazes us with the discovery of quantum particles that travel through space in the form of waves that spread out and are in many places at the same time. The Bible reveals God who is everywhere present. Science warns us that climate change will bring upon us severe, dire effects. The Bible predicts that in the “end times” there will be many significant cataclysmic events throughout the earth. Science proposes that there may be parallel or multiple universes. The Bible tells us that there is a new heaven and a new earth.

Who knows? Perhaps one of these days, science will catch up to the Bible.

Fair Play

After noting that the Romney acceptance speech was mentioned on page 6 of one of my local papers, I waited to see how the Obama acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention would be covered. It rated a page 6 mention. Equal coverage. Fair enough, I guess.

Little Too Warm

Good ol' Democrats! Always looking out for our best interests.

As in the case of Vice President Joe Biden here... no long-winded speeches for him because it's too hot out here.

We'll just have to take him at his word - which has been so incredibly wise and lucent during his term in office - that we are better off than we were four years ago.

Amazing!

Is that a TEA pot I'm beginning to hear whistle?

Barney Frank Live

OK, I'm completely stumped on this one. Barney Frank, former Democrat representative from Massachusetts, is checking into the Mariott in Charlotte, North Carolina...

with a belt around his neck?

The meaning here eludes me. I do think, though, I am safer adopting the "ignorance is bliss" attitude on this one.

DNC Condensed Version

In case you don't want to stay up late at night hanging on every word spoken at the Democratic National Convention, we are fortunate to have the condensed version...

Let's keep the TEA pot simmerin'!

Conventions Coverage

My local newspapers are not very large, so it's not too hard to find an article... if it is published. Nevertheless, the day after presidential candidate Mitt Romney's acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention made page 6.

Never mind that this is the most significant election of our lifetime. Page 6.

So I wonder where President Obama's acceptance speech will be featured? We'll see.

DNC Fans

The Democratic National Convention is on the verge of starting. And already, convention fans have arrived to demonstrate their support for everything American.

Well, demonstrate is the key word. I find it fascinating that these are among the stellar, responsible citizens who gushed all over BHO a mere four years ago. Yet here they are, in all their gory glory, to protest this administration at the Democrat convention.

I find it also fascinating - and encouraging - that the Americans who have opposed this administration's policies from the start are apparently not turning out in significant numbers to protest. It could be that conservatives take their responsibilities seriously: jobs, supporting family, improving community, etc.

Anyway... back to the matter at hand. Enjoy the DNC fans... notice the anarchy symbols... and don't forget that the TEA kettle is simmerin'!

I Love Love

I'm not hangin' out trying to catch all of the Republican National convention, so it's great having media resources like YouTube to catch some highlights. And what a highlight this one is!

My understanding is that Big Media (FoxNews excepted) is having nothing to do with Mia Love. Instead, Big Media will probably try to give her the Palin treatment.

After listening to her, though, I say that every American should love Love!

2016 Expanded Showings Nationwide

I have not seen "2016:Obama's America," but some who have seen it have told me about it. When I first looked it up, it was limited engagements and not showing in my area. I read in today's paper that the showings have expanded nationwide. The link is to the theater locations on the movie's website. I hear that "Hollywood" is perplexed that anyone would pay to see such a movie.
I will hopefully get to it, although I don't make many movies.

Libs Really in an Apple

As of today, Apple, Inc. is the most valuable company in the history of the world!

At the close of trading on 8/20/2012, the market capitalization of Apple, Inc. is $623.5 billion! They're still a little short of the cash needed to bail out the United States of America, but that's still a big pile of cash. To say the least.

Now this puts liberals everywhere in a real pickle. The authentic liberal despises market economies and their resultant profits. At the same time, Apple is not Big Oil, Big Tobacco, or Big Pharma. Like Big Media, it is one of them, only with profits. Humongous, ginormous profits.

And libs love the products. How many fine citizens in the land of left-believe are going to turn their backs on the iPhone 5? Hypoccupiers across the land will be occupying Apple stores on the day of the release. And they won't be burning them down; they'll be acting like every other capitalist. They will be buying a popular product from a profitable company. And they'll be paying a pretty penny for it... whether it is their money they are using or someone else's. Mark my words, there will be plenty of Apple product representation present at any of the next hypoccupier protests.

And to make them squirm in their hypocrisy even more (if that is possible to do with soulless, morally confused folks), let us not neglect that Apple products require petroleum products, mined products, and overseas labor. Apple, Inc. makes deals with Wall Street bankers. Apple executives, and maybe quite a few tiers of employees, qualify as the left's targeted enemy; to wit, the one percenters.

Everything about Apple, Inc. should make it rank as enemy number one in the land of left-believe.

But they can't pull the trigger to occupy Apple.

Poor libs...

What a pickle... I mean, Apple.

Government vs Charity

What is it that causes this much arrogance to be paraded about by our governments these days?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A Pennsylvania woman has vowed to continue doling out free lunches to children in her hardscrabble neighborhood, even though officials there have threatened to fine her $600 a day.
Angela Prattis, 41, was ordered by the Chester Township Council to wind down the makeshift dining room she runs in the driveway of her modest home during the summer for the hungry kids who come to her daily in search of a good meal. Under pressure from the community, the local leaders agreed to let Prattis finish her mission this summer, but told her she would need a zoning variance to resume the operation next summer.
Why Do Liberals Love Russia?
Would someone remind me once more why liberals have, and have had historically, such a love affair with Russia/Soviet Union?
Russia's female punk band protesters jailed for two years
(BTW, Joseph McCarthy was correct; if anything, McCarthy's investigations underestimated the number of Soviet agents and operatives in America during the 1950s).
What if President Barack Hussein Obama could rule the Olympics like he is trying to rule America?
Take a look!
That's Why They're Professionals
Following up with the shooting at the Family Research Center. Nary a word received from my news headline emails. OK, admittedly, I am subscribed only to FOXNews and MarketWatch breaking news alerts. I notice on the news section of my homepage that the LA Times has a headline about it. Nevertheless, I know from past experience that shootings light up the news wires like crazy.
Unless it's a declared lib shooting up a conservative organization's office. Apparently.
Obviously, that's why they are PROFESSIONAL journalists. Unlike you and me, they know what important news really is... such as when they create dots that don't exist so that they connect every tragedy to the TEA Party.
Once again from commentary posted by GOPUSA:
Suspect in Family Research Council shooting was LGBT volunteer
Obama Defends Biden's 'Chains' Remark, Silent on Left-wing Shooter
Shooter: 'I don't like your politics'
And a great observation by a reader: "I think I missed the story where Obama called Leo Johnson on the phone and told him he was a hero.  Can someone forward that to me?"
Big Media Yawns
Anyone get any reports about this shooting?
Shooting Occurs at Conservative Think Tank
Even though the article cites FOX News and AP reports, I received no headline email about it at all. I haven't seen or heard it turn up prominently in my normal news sources. If it weren't for the GOPUSA article linked above, I would not know it happened.
What if it had happened at an abortion clinic or a homosexual organization's office? Might we have heard about it then?
Just sayin'...
