That's why Jefferson was a genius. What could be more frightening than a president and congress that have no regard for the Constitution. We are one supreme court justice away from losing all semblance of a representative democracy.

So true. The whole idea of our Constitutional Republic is going (has gone?) down the tubes because, as important as the concept of a democratic (not the political party) majority is, America was founded on the premise that not even the majority can usurp the law of land. However, we have gotten too used & numbed to the idea that the majority can demand ANYTHING, including vacating the Constitution. We're a mess.
